Ye Yiyun, founder of Yun Zhan Xuan, studied under Cai Bingkun—China’s sole national-level inheritor of Jian Zhan artistry. In 2015, he was appointed Expert and Senior Advisor by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance. His studio, Yun Zhan Xuan, has been recognized as a Vice President unit of the Nanping Arts & Crafts Association and the Fujian Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, and is accredited as an enterprise member of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance. Master Ye himself was honored as one of Nanping’s First Cohort of Distinguished Folk Artisans.
